we use Purina Pro Plan for 3 dogs...they've gotten various versions over the years: primarily large breed and joint mobility...all are going strong at 7, 9, and 13 years old...ok, the 13-year old shepherd mix probably isn't "strong," but she's going :-)

used to use Blue Buffalo, but my wife stopped believing that specialty foods like that really provide any material benefit, especially for the price difference (of course, the fact that Purina is pretty generous to veterinarians helps the decision...but regardless, she tends to scoff at the marketing claims of all "fancy" foods)
