I don't think this is premature. Ty Segall just dropped Album of the Year

Freedom's Goblin. Every time I listen I hear something different. Notes of the Band, Beatles/Harrison, Early Sabbath, Grateful Dead, Wilco, funk/disco, noise punk (Babes in Toyland) and more. This album is all over the place, and in the best possible way. The tracks that sound like filler at first are holding their own on relisten. This album is a frikking monster of rock.
