Along the same lines of OX's post below, it's been a Lego day at our house.

I built my 5 year old a coffee table that doubles as a Lego play station/storage unit, as well as a an art/activity table. It was supposed to be a Christmas present, but like most projects I do around the house, it dragged out well past the scheduled completion date because I'm so picky. Plus, I have a very tiny unconditioned workshop, and painting in this winter weather has been next to impossible.

Thanks to the warm temps this weekend, I was finally able to complete it yesterday. I did the "reveal" with the kid this morning and broke out some of my old Legos from my childhood. We had a lot of fun sorting through them, and man was it nostalgic. I'm really looking forward to digging out more of my old sets and enjoying them with my daughter.

Most of the time parenting seems to make me feel old, but today it took me back to my youth.
