All refs, men's and women's, are free agents and work regionally...

...not by conference. There is no such thing as an "ACC ref". There are NCAA refs that do some ACC games. If it seems like one ref in particular in the men's game does a A LOT of ACC games, it's likely they just work A LOT, not that they're specializing in ACC games.

Some of these guys are doing 4 or 5 games a week. That my be part of the problem.
