Usually as good as the PSU wrestlers are in those mismatches they can avoid

injuries to themselves and their opponents. Pain and embarrassment are a different story.
Any D1 starter should be well past the point where their lack of skill and experience results in doing a move incorrectly leading to an injury. They still happen, but it's less likely when you have a D1 returning champ getting a first period pin against a non-top 25 wrestler.
