If people know you've got $280M, I'm not sure age really matters.
I get your point -- the 20-year old is more likely to engage in risky social/drug/alcohol situations. He might fly to Vegas, buy champagne for 35 people, and allow the "wrong" people into his circle.
Or buy a yacht, invite the same 35 people -- and disappear in Jamaica.
Or the guy in West Va (who wasn't young at all) -- too many strip clubs, too many drugs, and that shady lifestyle (and those shady people).
But even @ 65, you're still a target for opportunists. The gold-diggers, the investment scams, the extortion attempts.
And who knows, being established in the community might make things worse? Just means you've got a bigger circle to deal with, and more people to weed-out.
