Call me crazy, I'm indifferent to the NCAAT compared to the NIT right now.

Granted, I'm sure come February and early March, I'll be begging for us to make the Big Dance, but I think realistically we probably belong in the NIT field and could potentially grow more from going far in the NIT than getting embarrassed in the NCAA tournament. It would also give us a big chip on our shoulder to get snubbed, and come back furious next year, while returning essentially the entire team. I had a similar conversation with someone when our football team was a darkhorse candidate to make the playoffs - I basically said that despite the playoffs being most top teams' ultimate goals, I'd rather play and hopefully win at a decent bowl than to get the positive exposure of making the playoffs, only to get negative exposure by getting demolished. Just the way I see it.

0-1 in the NCAAT is better than winning the NIT -- hokeyhokie 01/11/2018 2:59PM
