Of course. Big marquis matchups draw in anyone. Just look at VT at Miami


Miami filled that stadium. The massive chunk of those fans were bandwagon locals. I bet a good amount of millennial Canes fans were luke warm at best.

Luckily, rabid college football fans between the ages of 35 and 80 are still attending games. So a lot of stadiums will still be packed for decades to come. It will be interesting to see if this fad with millennials lessened interest in college football & basketball will latch on to future generations.

Also, the United States' demographics are changing to a point where we may see the popularity of soccer increasing much more and American football decreasing. Especially since some small high school football programs are finding it difficult to keep up with the costs associated with new equipment as it relares to safety.

Football today is just becoming less popular IMO.
