- Hokie fans showed up and were much more visible than the Ok State contingent.
- There are a lot of Hokies now living in Florida - many people I spoke to were now living in the Sunshine State.
- OSU did a nice job of greeting the players at the stadium. We were right near the entrance when the teams arrived. The VT buses just drove through. The OSU band lined the pathway with a few hundred fans and the players walked through the band/crowd to the stadium. Nice touch.
- I have never seen as many people walking through the tailgate lots selling crap and asking for donations.
- Fanfest was pretty good and had a few cool experiences for kids. The Hokie Club tailgate looked awesome.
- We also just happened to walk in as the team took the field under the stadium. They were quite mellow and focused except for Hill and Ladler who seemed fired up.
- The stadium was probably about 60/40 VT fans
- The OSU band seemed quite loud. We did the Hokie Pokie before 4th quarter.
- Our running game looked great right from the start. Surprised we didn't run even more - lots of big holes and 32 and 33 were finding them.
- Peoples was in. We had a view shown to us in the stadium that clearly showed he was in and the VT section started celebrating. Shocked it was not ruled a TD.
- The fumble sucked the life out of Hokie fans for quite a long while.
- Noticed 95 in the game immediately on the fake punt and knew we were going to run a fake, and it worked well. Surprised OSU did not notice the different number and call TO.
- Many VT fans left mid-way through the 4th quarter. Surprising.
