Eh, not by much
The distance between Provo and Salt Lake City's airport is about the same as the distance from Morgantown to Pittsburgh.
The airport in Provo is better than the current airport in Morgantown (for which expansion is proposed) but not much different than the North Central West Virginia Regional Airport near Clarksburg (formerly known as Benedum Airport), which is not far away. The Clarksburg airport is over-equipped for the amount of commercial traffic it handles, probably just in case a big airliner full of Congressman need to make a quick trip to visit the "basement" of the nearby FBI fingerprint center that Robert Byrd had built.
Actually, the worst trips in the Big 12 are to Oklahoma State, Iowa State and (I think) Kansas State in terms of airport accessibility. Even for Baylor, WVU flies to Dallas and busses to Waco, which is a much longer ride than from Pittsburgh to Morgantown.
The issue with BYU is moving into the Mountain Time Zone and the big geographic gap between it and the heart of the Big 12. Hardly any Big 12 fans are going to actually drive to a road game in Utah. It's the same problem WVU faces. I think schools like UCF, USF and others have far more long-term potential for the Big 12 than BYU.
