So they have to invest in personnel, broadcast studios and transmission systems;then they have their in house marketing to cable, satellite etc.

the other networks framed by big 10 and sec are outsourced from ESPN/FOX.

THe interesting is the ACC network, its a partnership between the ACC and ESPN, where schools invest in studios and broadcast personnel/support staff and facilities, espn has the central studio in bristol. therefore expenses reduced profits can be maximized.
