What he's doing is abdicating life in the streaming world.

But, as you indicated, he's keeping toes in the water by maintaining minority ownership in Disney. Disney has been buying streaming companies like BAM Tech, and Disney has plans to go head to head against Netflix. He just sold them all of his Hollywood content like 20th Century Fox as well as his part ownership in Hulu. He may be positioning Disney to buy the rest of Hulu. By giving all of that up, he's out of the streaming game with Fox. Then he sold a couple minor cable channels like National Geographic and FX.

The British Government put a squash on his plans to take over Sky News, so he threw that Disney's way. They'll probably sell that. The Fox Sports Regional Sports Networks part is the interesting part regarding college sports. It will be interesting to see what ESPN does with them.
