Why not add just one game to cover all P5 winners


The lowest ranked P5 winners would play the extra game, then proceed as we do now. That removes the selection role from the committee.

As stated before there are two big draw-backs to this proposal: 1) G5 teams are left out and 2) excellent non-conference winners like this year's Alabama will also be left out.

Either one of those would be okay with me. Selection for a playoff needs to be more objective, like winning a P5 conference.
