There aren't 8 teams that can win the championship.

Last year proved that there were only 2. There isn't any reason to waste everyone's time with a playoff of teams that can't win. Make the 4 Power 4 conference championship games the quarterfinals. I realize we have to get to 4. Put everyone else in the bowl games. The playoff is fine at 4. No one in the G5 is good enough to make the top 4. They could make the top 12, and they have proven it. But they don't seem satisfied with just being able to do that.
