why tempt fate?

I'm not in favor of ANY physical danger ringing the court. I think that having your cheerleaders sit cross-legged along the baseline is a recipe for disaster. Having photographers crowed along the baseline in the landing zone is rediculous. Having benches and tables so close to the edge of the court is asking for it.

Back when I was a kid, I remember playing games at the old Stonewall Jackson Middle School gym. The bare cinder-block wall was only a foot or two away from the baseline. The gym at Roanoke Catholic's Elementary School was also a head-banger, although it had a really cool balcony and floor level viewing areas.

Smarter would be better.
