the nuclear option of pulling accreditation and the probation option of "we might..." seem to be all they have in their arsenal

And the nuclear option is just awfully hard to justify here...as bad as what they did was, it really was pretty limited in scope/scale. I know it's popular here to damn everything associated with baby blue based on it...but the same folks would lose their minds if others generalized their view of VT over such a small subset of what we are.

Should fines be an option? I'm not sure what else SACS could/should be armed with that would allow them to hurt (beyond the bad PR of probation), but not kill.
