At least there's time to get something ready for UVA.

However, I'm not giving up. Losing a defensive starter or two, only gives some younger players some much needed game experience for next year.

Sure VT is battling injuries, and losing starters, but that's not to say Pitt and UVA aren't banged up too.

When a team loses a player... usually everyone is dialed in a bit more... not assuming the guy next to them is going to be automatic. Everyone will have to shoulder their part of the load. Sometimes that's the spark needed. Also players who had bad games, will be determined to play better this time around.

I'm not assuming VT will beat Pitt, but if everyone plays just a little better/smarter... it is possible. Then the UVA game... you know that will be a slugfest, as UVA sees that VT is bleeding and limping into that game. You know that streak will end some time, but it is the last game of the season, with a month off before the bowl game. One game at a time, and it is possible for VT to close out the regular season with 2 victories.
