want a return to off tackle runs and a toss sweep to the short side.

But when one yard is needed, the claim that "we don't have an under center play set and therefore we might fumble the snap exchange" IMHO doesn't hold water. Every team needs to be able to run an under center short yardage set - you can have 5-6 plays from it - even a fake with a pass over the middle.

I'd just like to occasionally see a play where the RB hits a predetermined hole at speed, not get it five yards deep and then dance sideways "looking" for the hole. Now if the defense stunts to that particular hole - you are screwed, but that probability isn't much different than what we have now.
