It's pretty difficult honestly.

I have a 3.5 year old and a 1.5 year old. The older one has always been easy and is sharp as a tack. He's still doing plenty of firsts but is very conversational and has always been well behaved.

The 1.5 year old is a tornado. He bust everything and is ALWAYS going. He's never content and he gets into 1.5 year old trouble quite a bit.

It's easy to show affection to the older one. The younger one requires a lot more discipline to keep in line. I love both of them with all I am but if things continue the younger one is going to see us fuss at him a lot more than his older brother and draw the conclusion we love the older one more.

It's different. I can't love the younger one in the same ways I do the older b/c even at this young age they are vastly different people. Maybe they'll grow more similar as they age but I can't treat them the same or I'd be punishing one when he didn't deserve it or letting the other one turn into a hellion.
