Same here. Even if you buy that Negan has basically just been sitting

around this whole time, would they not have seen Rick's crew planting various explosives along the way to Negan's HQ? Even if Negan was content to let them bring the fight to him (which is dumb considering he has more men, more organization, and more firepower) he'd still have scouts and such watching what Rick's people were doing. I'm sure he has some sort of ace in the hole that Rick isn't prepared for (as he has every other time Rick thinks he's gotten the drop on him) but it's hard to believe that standing in the open and letting the enemy rain bullets and lead a horde of zombies into your safe zone was part of the plan.
