I can relate. After over a year of court battles we adopted our little girl


We had her in foster care since she was 18 months old and the pain and ugliness of multiple court hearings with birth mom fighting to get her back was heartbreaking. Knowing this little girl would undoubtedly die if she went back to her mother made us sick.
Fortunately the judge knew this and she became our child at the age of 4.
Although with her severe disabilities, she'll never understand, it was a truly joyful moment for us.
