who will flat out admit they are doing a bad job of cheating themselves and they will tell you Yaba Daba Do is a member of the Newspring Church down there in South Carolina and Newspring has been known from time to time to give "love offerings" to needy families. Needy families that happen to have 4 and 5 stars recruits. Dabo wasn't Dr. Evil enough to come up with this himself from what has been said. It was, once upon a time, common practice for Dabo's Alma Mater the Alabama Crimson Tide for many years. It seems the IRS just don't like messing with church money laundering I mean "love offerings". I remember Saban a couple years after taking over telling the Bama faithful in a press conference "Thanks but I really don't want or need your help so cut it out before we get our ass on probation." So maybe the Tide like the mafia has made their businesses legal. Clemson now established would probably desire to do the same. Only problem is they are Clemson and not Alabama so maintaining it will be an issue. Even Alabama falls off from time to time through history and Clemson will fall off quicker. if they stop supplying the juice. I look at it like adding accelerant to start a fire and now the fire is burning hot and the big recruits are coming. After a couple more years of them going pro early and few losses it will return back to the Clemson of old unless they keep adding the gas. These guys didn't come to college to bowl or play wiffle ball.

I agree Clemson recruited well under Tammy Bowden but not like they are now. Tammy like to have his boys do a little landscaping around his quaint cottage for about $100.00 an hour but Dabo started pulling in big time recruits a couple of states away from the border. That should raise a few red flags for any school, who had to date, an average win loss record and a little better than average recruiting. Think Marvin Austin at UNC.
