this team focused on the next game. So as far as his players are concerned, what he said is actually right. Its one loss. As for your point about the recruits, he knows this was an opportunity to make a great impression and he knows it didn't go like he wanted. He also knows that last nights outcome will hurt us in the eyes of some of those recruits. But if he openly talks about that in the media it only makes it worse. Also remember; these recruits, for the most, part don't play on undefeated teams. Most of them suffer losses from week to week, its good for them to see that their future coach stays even keeled and focused on the big picture. So the proper thing to do as the leader is down play it publicly. This diminishes the loss for his team and keeps them focused, as well as diminishes the loss to future recruits. He knows the opportunity we had last night, he also knows its not the end of the world. Keep moving forward.
