Re punting- the first punt was the first time I had seen him do an Aussie

Side kick (which was a flop). Went back to traditional and he was fine. I wondered why they had him do that if he had not done it live in a game before (actually wondered if I had missed it previously through watch poor espn3 broadcasts).

If that was the first time for him to do it in a game, that was not a good time to try it out. Do that v Delaware (unless he did).

One other thought- something has to change with the FG tries. If there are any issues with the snap or the hold, then that needs to be fixed. Slye is not an accurate distance FG kicker. If he has trouble already, a bad snap or hold will doom him- and then that gets in his head and it becomes a cycle.

Finally, why is VT STILL having him try 40+ kicks every game?? The first successful FG at 43? is NOT a good reason. A 50% success rate (much higher than his) is not good enough and all of the misses likely mess with his head so that he misses at 27 yards. Stop the madness!!!
