They're not exactly the same thing.

With funny accounting, somebody could say "I donated $1,500 to Hokie Club in 2017 -- but I'm allocating $1,200 of that to Clemson, and only $300 to the remaining games."

Let's say they have 4 tickets -- so that's $300 to each ticket (of the $1,200 Clemson allocation).

So they could sell/post the Clemson tix for $350 each, and still not "profit".......
