They actually were pretty decent for a while. Had some decent QBs like Jeff Blake and David Gerrard. I also think Michael Vick strongly considered going there...but...I could be wrong on that. Had they joined a power 5 conference around the time we did. I do think things would be a LOT different for them. But.....no way was another NC school getting an ACC invite. Given a choice those NC schools would have taken VT over ECU any day of the week.
