Maybe 2015?

ND went 10-2 that year, with last minute 2 point road losses to Clemson and Stanford.

Maybe they win the Coastal and earn a rematch with Clemson in the title game in that scenario? Who knows?

Prior to last year's disaster of a 4-8 season (which sucked and I hope was an anomaly), ND went 7-3 against the ACC with all three losses (Clemson, FSU, Louisville) being close, last minute finishes.

I think that shows that ND could compete at the highest level in the ACC if it were a full member.

ND has gone 60-31 under Kelly,(including 12 and 10 win seasons) which ain't great but maybe not quite the complete decline some people make it out to be.

I agree that ND's problems the last twenty years are related to coaching, not conference membership.
