As a taxpayer, I don't want to be subsidizing the cost of the entire system for a few extra overtime hours on just for 15-20,000 people - or less - every time there is some event or concert at Verizon Center or Fed Ex.

I'm no apologist for the Metro system - which I think is a criminal waste of money. But if you want to blame someone, blame the promoter/venue - which I believe is The Redskins. But then that would simply reduce the payout to VT.
