Short term, yes, but I think the article misses the international opp


Nielsen say that in May, ESPN was in 86.9 million households in the US. Yes it's going to hurt losing a good chunk of these subscribers, but the real growth potential comes from the untapped international market for ESPN. Basketball alone is estimated to have over 1 billion followers worldwide. Moving from the cable model to OTT is a critical step in really cracking those markets.
