I'd be delighted to only pay Amazon for all my streaming


They are a company that actually puts their customers first. Every customer service interaction I've had with them has been swiftly resolved to my satisfaction. Compare that to the time I once had to make TWENTY-TWO separate calls to Verizon to get them to fix my DSL. Comcast/TWC are even worse.

Most of these standalone streaming services from "old guard" media companies are utter garbage from a technical perspective (I'd have better luck getting Dave Chappelle to perform in my living room than getting Comedy Central's Roku channel to function properly for more than 10 minutes at a time). I'd rather let the tech companies handle distribution, and let the media companies focus on what they're good at (content generation). Although Amazon has also shown they can produce good shows.
