Netflix saw the writing when HBO and CBS pulled their stuff.

They have to move to original programming as these content owners set up their own stuff. As ESPN does this, we'll probably see 20th Century Fox doing something similar, which pulls in Fox Sports. Then you have Comcast/NBC/Universal there too.
