Agree about PPV, but there's more to it.


One problem is all the weight classes and multiple champions per weight class (IBF, WBA, WBC, and more). It's fine to some extent, but when they never end up fighting each other, it's kinda stupid And think about the missed opportunity with Pacquiao and Maywether. They could have fought 2 or 3 fights in their prime like Ali-Fraizer, but they didn't.

Part of the problem with PPV is that kids are the ones hurt by it. Most working class families (from where future boxers and fans are likely to come), weren't going to pay for a fight on TV. So when I was a kid, I remember the big time fights and fighters. The next generation didn't have that experience.
