Yes, there are other forms of entertainment and I agree with


you that football is a form of entertainment. However, if people are looking for alternative forms of entertainment on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon instead of watching football in the Fall, then there choices may be limited compared to Spring or Summer.

If people start walking away from football, then colleges and the NFL will feel the pinch. What I don't know is if majority of those people will continue to stay away like what has happened with NASCAR or if a percentage will return to watching football because there are not enough appealing alternatives to occupy their time.
