It is up to UConn to market itself in its home market.
I know they are marketing UConn in New York City with some success. They need to market themselves in Hartford. They play there for football, and they play there for some of their basketball games. They need to market their teams to that community just as Louisville has done in theirs. The point is that they are the only game in town unless you want to drive 3 hours and deal with New York or Boston traffic. There are plenty of people in that market to make that a successful college athletics program just like Louisville. There is little competition.
