Concur.

Thursday night games used to be the thing. Unique, and the only game in town. Now more than one college game is Thursday night, plus the 800 pound gorilla named NFL.

But even back in the day, a Thursday night game had the impact of either a very, very long day, (to and from Blacksburg) on the same day, or losing 2 days of work.

But Friday night games require only losing 1 day's work, and it is still pretty much the only game in town. At least the NFL is doing games that night yet.

Also does anyone really believe a college game on TV is going to damage the crowd at a high school game on Friday night? Does anyone really believe that a person at home on Friday night says to themselves, "Self, since there are no college games on TV tonight, let's go down to the high school game tonight."?

If anyone is interested in the local high school game, they are going to it, regardless of what college might be playing on Friday.
