Sorry, but I don't agree that "good fans" is equated to $ donated.

You can be a die-hard fan of something without financially supporting it with donations.

Not that's it quite the same thing, but as an example...I am a big time Reds fan, but don't just give the owner $ out of the kindness of my heart to try to sign a decent player. I go to a couple of games a year and watch a lot more on TV. I care just as much whether they win or lose as someone who has season tickets, but frankly just don't have the time and money to go a ton of games.

With regards to Tech, a lot of people have families to support and other obligations. They may want to give $ to Tech to help support the program, but reality gets in the way and there just isn't spare cash to give. This doesn't make these folks bad fans, just makes them fans without tons of discretionary funds.
