Re: The defense really should be excellent.

I like our chances in a shootout, I think we lose a defensive game. We lost our entire D-line. Our stud LB wrecked his knee in conditioning drills back in June, we have experienced DB's, but none with a ton of starting experience, we are very solid at safety with White and Askew-Henry returning this year. Teams that have never seen the 3-3-5 usually struggle with it, but it's a little different when you have all summer to get ready as opposed to a week.

Preparation time is probably my biggest concern for this game, offensively, the hype has never been higher, I've been religiously following WVU football since the 80's, I can't remember the hype around someone being higher than it is around Will Grier. He's supposed to be the savior, the messiah. Bud will have had months to prepare, he's been out of football for 2 years (game situation) to me, that's asking a lot of that young man on national TV on the big stage under the lights, but we shall see. If he struggles I can't wait to hear some of our idiot fans yelling for our backup QB or better yet Bill Stewart or the fire Holgorsen chants..lol.
