I will never condone what MV1 did......however.....

the man served time in prison, suffered great financial penalties and destroyed a part of his legacy.

Vick had 2 choices when he got out of prison....right his wrongs or live the same life as before his conviction (cough, Marcus, cough). Do his critics think he would have been let in the hall had he gone back to dog fighting or other criminal, activity? No way.

He committed to helping animal rights groups and has consistently spoken at schools and in other public forums against animal cruelty. It is safe to say Vick has done more for the animal rights movement than any individual. Is that movement better off in the end having had Vick or not having Vick advocating for them?

I hate what he did to those dogs....he screwed up on a huge level....that said, he has paid his debt and been a model citizen since his release. Leave the man alone.

As for what he did for VT...watching him turned my love for the school and it's football program into an obsession. That stadium, the Barn, the academic facilities, locker rooms, etc don't exist (at least not as fast as they have) without Vick's contributions.

He is the best athlete that has ever walked on our campus, including Bruce and it's unlikely we'll see another like him in our lifetime.

He's in and he absolutely should be.
