IMO, it's a lose-lose situation for TSL if you write an editorial


it's a very touchy subject for many on this board and one which is very divisive. Every time the subject is broached, it draws a ton of message board discussion. It has for years and still is today. Message board discussion is usually good, but in this case I see no good that can come from it. You'll tick off half of your readers regardless of which position you take.

I almost liken it to TSL writing a political editorial. You'll definitely generate a lot of talk, but it will be divisive, and you'll probably risk losing some of your membership. While message board posts/views are usually a positive for TSL, I see this as a potential long-term business hit with several posters taking their ball and going home because they just can't take an editorial against their strong personal beliefs.
