Camps can be VERY important and good investment.

If she plays for a travel team then the best person to ask about the camp is likely her TB coach. No travel ball? Then this camp and others like it are probably the only way to get in front of a college coach. For example, as 14/15 year-old my pitcher daughter camped at Radford (2003) and essentially had an offer in the first 90 minutes. That cost me $100 plus 6 hours one-way there and a hotel room. Of course that offer was worth about $60K (ultimately she chose to go elsewhere). So, for the right person, camps can be very important.
