Reminds of a random question for hoopheads


Trying to compare teams and players from different eras is what reminded me.

How similar is Stephs game right now to his dad's when he was in his NBA prime?

To my untrained eye, they look very very similar. Yet 30 years ago, that skillset got you the NBA 6th man award. Today, it gets you an MVP.

If you want to compare teams and players from different eras, you kinda need to know what rules you are playing by. The bullying style of play from yesteryear would get all your superstars of the 80's in foul trouble today. The finesse style of today would get you run over under the rules of the 80's.
