The "engineering" comes in with setting up the problems

and knowing what to ask. There have been tools to solve those problems for years, but these are just a little more user friendly and more powerful. When I started college (early 90's), Mathmatica (from Wolfram) could already do symbolic math (integrals, etc.). I teach engineering at VT, and I encourage my students to use the Wolfram tools online (I know they will use them anyway).

But, make no mistake, AI is coming, and it's coming fast. It will disrupt industries and displace many workers.
