If the other conferences Texas Tech is a member of own

the content even though they don't have their own network, then Texas Tech really has no incentive to produce any content. Instead Texas Tech would have to settle for whatever exposure it gains from broadcasts on the CBS Sports Network, ESPN Family of Networks, NBC Sports Network, Fox Sports Network, or whatever regional networks.

For some schools, they may not care whether they get exposure from a conference network (i.e. SECN), an existing network (i.e. Fox Sports Network), or a regional network (i.e. MASN). In their eyes any exposure is still exposure. Plus, I think all the major networks have already adapted to streaming based on what is offered on services like Sling TV. I think the regional networks are slowly getting to that point. So from a content standpoint, the success of these conference networks may give these major networks some incentive to expand their non-revenue sports coverage. In the grand scheme of things does it really matter if Texas Tech men's and women's golf is broadcasted on the Pac-16 Network, CBS Sports Network, or Root Sports Rocky Mountain Network (regional)?
