I am not sure the Big Ten has any interest in adding more than 2 TX schools

If the Big Ten did go to 4 groups of 5, then I would think 1 group would be Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and TCU/Houston/(maybe Texas Tech). By doing it this way, then the other 3 groups could look like this:

Group 1: Penn St, Rutgers, Maryland, and 2 more
Group 2: Michigan, Michigan St, Ohio St, Indiana, and Purdue
Group 3: Illinois, NW, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa

As far as who might be that second TX school, I do think the Big Ten would prefer to have that school come from either the DFW or Houston metro areas than from western Texas.
