Yes, 6 current players were let go, and I hear one inbound freshman too, for a total of 7. As far as face to face mtgs with players and parents to deliver the news, there are just not enough hours in the calendar. A new coach has to call and shore up the return of all existing players and inbound players, then hustle up and find his JUCO transfers to try to win right away along w many other admin and personnel/personal issues. It's never pleasant receiving the news, I know, but perhaps best to rip off the band aid. Those cut can likey transfer without sitting out a year and go somewhere they are loved.
