The Longhorns will never join the SEC for the reasons you mentioned. As long as they have Longhorn Network, they will be in the Big 12 with or without Oklahoma. The B1G would be the only destination they would ever leave the Big 12 for. This fantasy of them joining the Pac 12 will not happen.
