Finding pitching talent and developing it....

For VT to win, that seems to be the skill that we've got to develop. Chris follows baseball closer than I so I'll be interested to see what he thinks once the new assistants are hired.

I do have knowledge of one recent miss we had. Friend of mine's son was a left handed pitcher being recruited by VT among others. I know his dad well and he knows about my experience at VT and why I loved it so he was familiar with the school. After visiting both he and his son loved VT and it's where his son wanted to go. However he was a late bloomer and there were a few other pitchers that VT wanted over him so they slow rolled him and he never got an offer before making a decision. He had other offers and committed to another P5 program. He was just drafted in the 7th round this year as a junior.
