While I agree with you it doesn't make sense to have 4 FL schools


I do see 1 potential benefit. Since the ACC will probably always use some form of the zipper model, having 4 FL means that both divisions could have 2 FL schools. It also could mean that non-FL teams could always play 1 FL school at home and 1 FL school away every year. There may be some benefit to knowing you will always make 1 trip to FL every year. If the ACC goes the pod route, then it would mean that each pod could have 1 FL school in it.
