Great story from the Lynchburg paper about today's game


Nice job of capturing all the emotions. It was truly a classic.

SALEM — Next year, Jordan Dail and Keely Rochard will be teammates at Virginia Tech.

But on Saturday, for one final time, they battled from the circle as enemies.

And what an epic showdown it was.

Eighteen innings. Four hours and 30 minutes. A combined 123 batters sent to the plate. Thirty-three stranded runners, 29 total strikeouts.

And just one run.
