From a Conf. Channel perspective it's important. College baseball on TV

is growing and winning creates passion and passion creates viewers.

It's also important that a coach sees a better future at the school and conference that right now doesn't have the Conference Channel. He had to be sold on the long term viability of Virginia Tech Baseball and ACC Baseball.
